PROJECT COVERAGE

The objective of the support project is to enhance the capacity of the Tanzania – Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment (MITI), to improve Tanzania’s sustained access to international markets and to strengthen of MITI’s institutional capacity, to enable Tanzania for managing the country’s international trade.

Two-fold purposes: Enhance Tanzania’s sustained access to international markets; and Strengthen MITI’s institutional capacity for managing the country’s international trade. 

Four-fold Project outputs:

  • Data and information on market access requirements systemically prepared and shared;
  • Market access guides for selected export markets prepared;
  • Institutional capacity building on external trade governance undertaken; 
  • Public and private sector trade dialogue enhanced.
